Applications
Production of multi-layered cross-laminated panels for the construction industry and the furniture market.

Models available
PLCC/X-LAM: loading system with parallel motorized chains.
During pressing the retractable chains disappear below the level of the lower platen.
Each module is equipped with a chain system with independent motorization.
Useful dimensions and hydraulic thrust
The press has a modular structure composed of standard 3500×2000 mm modules;
Each module has a vertical hydraulic thrust of over 800 tons (11 Kg/cm2);
The number of modules depends on customer’s needs;
the length and width of the boards depend on the size and number of modules
Board thickness: from 12 mm to 400 mm (usually with 22 mm thick strips)
No. of layers from 3 to approximately 18.
Standard equipment
- The structure is made of oxy-cut metal sheets with no welding;
- Hydraulic system for vertical thrust;
- Digital control panel “Touch Screen” on pulpit;
- Lifting system with bars to load the material, with 4 cylinders on each side to activate the rack unit; the system is equipped with edged guides and upper / lower supports.
Platens
Lower fixed platen:
the lower platen is made of welded and machined beams. The loading system with motorized chains is installed between the beams of the platen;Upper pressing platen:
the structure is made of welded beams covered with thick metal sheet and processed by machine tool.
Compliance
The presses produced by OMC comply with the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Accessories/Options
The X LAM presses can be equipped with the following accessories:
- Loading and unloading systems equipped with motorized chains;
- Glue spreader;
- Side pressure system for aligning and compacting the boards in longitudinal direction;
- Front pressure system for aligning and compacting the boards in cross direction.
If the press is equipped with multiple modules, the front pressure system will be installed on the first and last module; - Unloading table with tilting system.
